The facility that is now Dominion Wood Preservers has been producing pressure-treated lumber in Zion Crossroads, Virginia since the 1980s, when Victor Pascarella moved Valley Timber from Charlottesville. At its peak, the original company employed 19 people across two treatment plants.
After Victor's passing in 2013, the company continued under family ownership until December 2020, when it was purchased and relaunched as Dominion Wood Preservers. Under new leadership, DWP has expanded its product lines, invested in modernizing, grown its team to 14 employees, and built a growing base of contractor and vendor customers across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic.
Today, DWP operates two treatment plants — CCA and MCA — along with a remanufacturing operation that produces value-added products like topped posts and pickets, mortise, face posts, and half-round posts. We treat and stock our own inventory, which means most products are available for same-day pickup with forklift loading at our yard.
